How to use Twitter’s Advanced Search feature to find people tweeting about a certain topic within a certain area.
Step One:
Open a search results page by searching for anything.
Step Two:
Use the ‘More Options’ dropdown and select ‘Advanced Search’ at the bottom.
Step Three:
Enter any word or phrase that you want to find.
Step Four:
in the ‘Places’ section, enter the city where you want to search for tweets.
Step Five:
Hit ‘Search’ and find a list of top tweets.
Step Six:
Click ‘Live’ to see ALL relevant tweets instead of only top tweets.
Step Seven:
Find a tweet to respond to and get conversational!
